John Edward Doss Sr.

John Edward Doss Sr. “Eddie,” age 60, passed away on May 14, 2026 surrounded by close family after a tenacious battle with cancer. Eddie loved life, Panama City Beach, a good time, a cold beer, Georgia Bulldogs, Jordyn Paige, his family, and any dog he met.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline “Dannette” Doss; his mother, Charlotte Faye Cato; and his father, Richard Dan Doss Sr.

He is survived by his son, John Doss Jr. (Brandi); his step-daughter, Jessica Dubroc; and his three grandchildren, Jordyn Doss, Abigayle Dubroc , and Christian Dubroc. He also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Noah, Nash, and Reid; four brothers, Danny Doss (Kathy), Michael Doss, Bryan Doss, and Mark Doss (Joy); his sister, Danielle Doss; his aunt, Patricia Mitchely; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A service will not be held at his wishes, his wishes were for everyone to celebrate and remember the good memories and know he no longer suffers and is reunited with Dannette.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and staff of OLOL Hospital, BRG Hospital, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer center, and Clarity Hospice. The compassion shown throughout this journey will never be forgotten.
