Joann Rheams Decoteau

JoAnn Rheams Decoteau, a native of Galvez, LA passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the age of 82. She was a retired bus driver for Ascension Parish School Board for over 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, a daughter, Suzette Decoteau Haik (Mac); a son, Davy Decoteau (Jane); five grandchildren, Cody Decoteau (Alexis), Jada Duplessis, Kash Decoteau, Cort Decoteau and Cassie Decoteau; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Decoteau, Max Duplessis and Remi Duplessis; and daughter in law, Angelia Decoteau. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Raynold Decoteau; a son, Lyle Decoteau; a sister, Lois Rheams; a brother, Gordon Rheams and her parents, Douglas and Lillian Rheams. A Memorial visitation will be held at Household of Faith Mt. Zion Campus, 17683 Hwy 933, Prairieville, LA on Thursday, July 27, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am with a Memorial service beginning at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the charity of your choice.
