JoAnn Allen Renfroe, lovingly known as JoJo to her grandkids, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026, at home in Denham Springs, LA at the age of 84. Born February 3, 1942, to Willis and Lydia “Lillie” Brister Allen of Lincoln County, MS she was the youngest of four daughters. She was a 1960 graduate of Enterprise High School and worked as a switchboard operator for BellSouth in Brookhaven, Ms. Upon marrying she became a homemaker staying home to take calls for her husband’s painting business. Moving to Baton Rouge, LA in May 1987 she fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a hairdresser. After graduating from National Beauty College JoAnn worked at Georgia’s Beauty Carousel, owned by her sister Georgia, until retiring in 2011. She loved instrumental music, needlepoint, sewing, and baking but her favorite thing to do was spending time with family.

Mother was a quiet person who spoke volumes with her love for caring for others. She was a treasure in each of our lives and will be greatly missed but most importantly she was a Child of God.
