Jeffrey T. Ducoté “Jeff”

Jeffrey T. Ducoté “Jeff” ,69, resident of Gonzalez, passed away on May 4, 2023 @ 3:10 p.m. surrounded by loved ones.

Born on December 20, 1953 to Edwin H. and Lillian K. Ducoté, he was the sixth of eleven children. He will be remembered by friends and family for his kind heart and quick wit.

He made his living as a diesel mechanic, but was known as a jack of all trades. His hobbies included building model airplanes and boats, woodworking, and working on his pride and joy Blue Ford Truck. He enjoyed classic rock, documentaries and sci-fi. He also liked to slow down and enjoy nature whether in his backyard or fishing.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 37 years Janice Ducoté ; 2 stepdaughters Annette Baker and Charity (husband Randy) Elofson; 6 grandchildren, Christy ( husband Alan) Seaman, Mae (husband Nick) Martin, Vincent Baker, Cody Hampton, Angelle Baker, Olivia Baker; 3 great-grandchildren, Angelina Rowland; Jolene and Levi Martin.

He is also survived; by his 3 brothers, Chris (wife Carol) Ducoté, Mark (wife Suzanne) Ducoté and Lawrence Ducoté; his 4 sisters, Terry (husband Eric) Lemoine, Pam (husband Garod) Lemoine, Penny (husband Mike) St. Roman and Amy Goff; his 11 nephews Mikey, Richard, Bryan, Kurt, Jason, Joey, Matthew, Brandon, Douglas, Cory, Justin; his 9 nieces, Cassey, Therese, Reannon, April, Holly, Maggie, Shanna, Elizabeth, and Katie; he also has many great nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his mom and dad, Lillian and Edwin Ducoté; his 3 brothers Michael (wife Gayle), David (wife Charlene), and Danny (wife Becky) Ducoté and his 2 nephews Steven and Brad Ducoté.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
