Jeanette Ann Richardson, age 85, a lifelong resident of St. Amant, Louisiana, was born on January 11, 1940, and entered eternal rest on January 10, 2026. She was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior and reunited with her beloved husband of 55 years, John Thomas “J.T.” Richardson, in time to celebrate her 86th birthday.
Jeanette lived a full, faithful, and joy-filled life. She was a dedicated member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant and an active member of the Catholic Daughters. Her faith guided her daily life and was reflected in her kindness and love for others.
She found her greatest happiness in time spent with family and friends, whether playing card games, sharing meals, or laughing together. Jeanette was also an enthusiastic participant at the Ascension Parish Council on Aging, where she was well known for her spirited involvement in costume parties, activities, and good-natured shenanigans that brought smiles to everyone around her.
Jeanette is survived by her loving children, Rebecca Puckett (Ty) and Michael Richardson, Sr. (Dawn); her grandchildren, Tyson Mire (Leslie), Michael Richardson, Jr. (Jordan), Katelyn Schrand (Cody), Courtney Neeley (Luke), and Kolbi Richardson (fiancé Ryan Robert); and her great-grandchildren, Rori and Ada Richardson, Anna and Hailey Schrand, Marlowe and Palmer Neeley, and Greyson and Sammie Theriot.
She is also survived by her siblings, Gerald LeBlanc (Reba), Gaynell Little (Johnny), Lynn LeBlanc, Shirley Clouatre (Bruce), and Judy Babin (Jim), along with an abundance of loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Eva LeBlanc; her husband, J.T. Richardson; her brother, Jimmy LeBlanc; her sisters-in-law, Lois LeBlanc, Myrtle LeBlanc, and Kathleen LeBlanc; and her great-grandson, Wade Allen Richardson.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gerald LeBlanc, Lynn LeBlanc, Bruce Clouatre, Johnny Little, Ty Puckett, Cody Schrand, Luke Neeley, and Ryan Robert.
