Jean Lee Williamson, a beloved wife, mother, and homemaker, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family on December 10, 2023. She is proceded in death by her mother, Joyce Crowell Rainey, father Edward James Lee, son-in-law Dwight Lane & grand-daughter Sea’Aira Jean Alexander.

Jean was a one-of-a-kind individual who left a mark on those she encountered. With wit, humor, and warm nature, she effortlessly created a loving environment. Jean had a keen eye for fashion and could always be seen dressed impeccably.

In addition to her dedication as a homemaker, Jean found great joy in sharing her musical talents as a private piano teacher for many years. Her passion for music and teaching inspired countless students to develop their own love for music. 

Jean was adored by her family and friends for her caring and loving nature. She had an open heart that overflowed with love for those around her. Jean's home was always a beacon of warmth and hospitality, with the coffee pot ready at any time to welcome guests. She had a knack for making everyone feel cherished and valued.

Christmas held a special place in Jean's heart. She embraced the festive spirit wholeheartedly, bringing joy to those around her with beautifully decorated spaces and heartfelt celebrations. Jean reveled in the joy of giving and would always go the extra mile to ensure that no one left empty-handed.

Beyond her dedication as a homemaker and piano teacher, Jean pursued various hobbies that brought her immense satisfaction. She had a passion for interior decorating and transformed spaces into stunning works of art. Crocheting was another creative outlet she enjoyed, crafting beautiful pieces that would be treasured by their recipients. Reading provided Jean solace and inspiration, and she immersed herself in the pages of her favorite books & tabloids.

Jean's proudest accomplishments extended beyond her professional endeavors. She earned numerous awards for her invaluable volunteer work at Northwestern Elementary School. As a talented artist, she designed yearbook covers and decorated bulletin boards, creating vibrant and engaging learning environments for students. Her creative passion also encompassed choreographing many school programs and teaching sign language to enrich the students' educational experiences. Jean's expressive nature found expression through her poetry, and she penned countless heartfelt verses that touched the hearts of those who read them.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Albert Joe Williamson, her son, D'wayne Sanders & wife Nita, daughters, Deidre Lane, Emily McCray, Tosha Capello & husband Glenn, April Strahan & husband Tim, and Stormy Plaisance & husband Chevy. She will also be fondly remembered by her several grandchildren.

The loss of Jean Lee Williamson is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will continue to inspire and enrich our lives. We celebrate the life she led and the impact she made on our hearts. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
