Jean Lionel “Lonnie” Bass Jr.

Jean Lionel “Lonnie” Bass Jr., passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 29th, at the age of 65 years. He was born in Baton Rouge and was a resident of Livingston. Lonnie had a kind heart and liked putting a smile on everyone’s face. He enjoyed going to COA, giving treats to the neighborhood dogs, and visiting with friends. Services will be held on Monday May 8th, 5 pm until 7 pm at The Church of God of Prophecy, 20942 Nevada Street, Livingston. He is survived by a daughter Jon Ashlie Bass Dreher, a sister Christy Monette Burregi, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews, great nephews, and great nieces. He is preceded in death by parents Jean L. and Cammie Hall Bass, brothers Tommy Morgan, and Randy Bass, maternal grandparents Thomas E. and Leon Goings Hall. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Office Sparcello from the Livingston Police Department for showing special interest in Lonnie, Ms. Shannon from Livingston COA, and Mr. Jim Brown for his kindness. Sandy Hughes, a devoted friend who was always there when we needed her, Aileen Laborde for all her help, Mary Keadle, Cathy Bond, and Nita Noland for all their help with planning the last few days. Lifelong friend Lea Pennington for doing so much for Lonnie over the years.
