Jason Reeve Barrow

Jason Reeve Barrow, born July 25, 1964, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on May 27, 2026, at Prevost Memorial Hospital in Donaldsonville, LA. He was 61 years old.

Jason’s journey began in Baton Rouge, where he was welcomed into the world by his parents, the late James Reeve Barrow and Sandra Barrow Leader. Throughout his life, Jason maintained a deep appreciation for both the natural world and artistic expression. He found particular joy in fishing, an activity that brought him solace, adventure, and connection with his surroundings. In addition, he was a talented photographer, skillfully capturing moments and scenes with a practiced and observant eye. Both passions served as enduring testaments to Jason’s ability to appreciate beauty, detail, and the fleeting nature of time.

Jason’s family remained a central part of his life. He is survived by his siblings: Todd Barrow (Tammy), Robin Stevens (George), Josh Barrow, and Robyn Jacob (Jason). He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who shared in his warmth and generosity. Jason was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James Reeve Barrow and Sandra Barrow Leader, whose legacies continue through the close-knit family they raised.

A memorial service to honor and remember Jason’s life will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, located at 15208 Highway 73, Prairieville, Louisiana 70769, on July 11, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm, with a reception to follow.

Jason will be remembered for his love of family, his keen eye as a photographer, and his ability to find peace along the water’s edge. His gentle spirit, creative gifts, and enduring kindness will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
