Janie Marie Denham

A devoted, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Janie Marie Denham passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the age of 77. She retired from the Ascension Parish School Board, working with the Adult Education System. Janie also volunteered her time at Holy Rosary Catholic Church for many years, always giving her time to others in need. Janie was loved by many. She had a beautiful and kind spirit.

Born in St. Amant of Henry Graham, Sr. and Bertha Blackwell Graham, she remained a resident of St. Amant her entire life.

Janie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Warren Clyde Denham; 2 daughters, Kaye Enloe(Brian Enloe), and DeAnn Denham Poche'(Mark Poche'); and a son, Bryce Warren Denham; 4 grandchildren, Lindsay Boley(Abi Castro-Aguilar), Emily Achord, Kaylee Boley Hebert(Adam Hebert), and Evan Achord(Brette Dardeau); 2 great grandchildren, Eli and Evelyn Achord; a brother, Henry Graham, Jr. (Debi Graham); and a sister, Sheila Graham; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, in-laws, and longtime friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Graham, Sr. and Bertha Blackwell Graham; a twin baby sister; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and John Eliser; a nephew, Lee Michael Warner; and a son-in-law, Mark Poche.

The family would like to extend their appreciation and love to the wonderful nurses and caregivers at Fidelis House in Metairie for their quality care and kindness.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, August 28, 2026 starting at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, which will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, LA. Burial to follow in Church Cemetery.
