Jane Catherine Thornton, 89, of Central, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother; went home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 5, 2022.
She is survived by her four children; son, Boatner Thornton; three daughters, Darlene Sides (husband Ken), Bobbie Dixon and Janet Haley (husband Dane); two sisters, Helen Landry and Hazel Annison; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren with another one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Boatner and Kate Bennett; four sisters, Dorothy Lienemann, Margie Landry, Gracie Stroughter and Betty Corn; son in-law, Carroll Lee Dixon; grandson, Lee Adam Thornton.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Hospice of Baton Rouge for their wonderful care.
A Celebration of Life service will be held later.
