James Nolan Jones, lovingly known as Jimmy, was born on April 28, 1964, in Hammond, Louisiana. He peacefully left this world on January 22, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Jimmy was a cherished father and grandfather, leaving behind his two beloved children, Jena Heaney (Lance Heaney) and Cassy May (William Bueche). His five grandchildren—Natalee, Connor, and Ella Heaney, along with Cayson and Rhyland Bueche—were his greatest joy and the light of his life. He took immense pride in spending quality time with them, often sharing stories and laughter that they will carry with them forever.

In addition to his children and grandchildren, Jimmy is survived by several siblings, who will undoubtedly remember him for the love and warmth he brought into their lives.

Jimmy's heart was filled with love for God, and despite the challenges he faced throughout his life, he remained steadfast in his faith. He found solace in the simple pleasures of life, enjoying fishing and spending time in his garden, which served as a reflection of his nurturing spirit.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julie A. Jones, whose memory he cherished deeply. Also by his mother-in-law, Susan Acaldo, as well as his own parents Ella Bea and Carey Jones, brothers including Bruce, Rodney, and Shelton, a sister, Robin, and nephews, Blake Bridges and Duane May.

The legacy of Jimmy will live on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family. He is remembered with love and respect by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
