James Edwin Gobble (Jim)

James Edwin Gobble, a beloved member of the community and a dedicated employee, has passed away at the age of 68. He retired from Turner Industries as a foreman after an impressive 45 years of service.

Born on February 18, 1955, James had a deep appreciation for classic cars and enjoyed attending car shows throughout his life. He had an extensive knowledge of automobiles and could often be found discussing them with fellow enthusiasts. His passion for these timeless vehicles brought him great joy.

On December 5, 2023, James peacefully passed away at his residence in Gonzales, LA. His departure leaves behind a void in the hearts of those who knew him best. He was deeply loved by his family and friends.

James is survived by his daughter Kelly Michel and son Christopher Gobble. He was a loving grandfather to Scott Michel. James also leaves behind his siblings Sheila Mankoph, Diane Traylor, and Beth Gobble Maulder.

A visitation will be held on December 12, 2023, starting at 9:00 AM at The Church International St. Amant located at 13423 LA-431 in St Amant, LA. This will be followed by a Funeral Service at the same location starting at 11:00 AM. The service will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together to pay their final respects and celebrate James' remarkable life.

James Edwin Gobble will always be remembered as a devoted family man and dedicated professional. His warm smile, kindhearted nature, and love for classic cars will forever remain etched in our memories. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
