A retired dental lab technician and resident of Baker, Jimmy was called to rest in the arms of the Lord and find eternal peace on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:20 PM, in Baton Rouge at the Carpenter House of St. Joseph’s Hospice after a three-year battle with cancer. He was 75 and a native of Baton Rouge, and owner of E & J Dental Lab.
Visitation and Memorial Services will be held at Zachary Community Church, 4455 Church Street, Zachary, on Friday, June 6. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. followed by Memorial Services at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Pastor Danny Greig. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Evelyn Guyban Germany; daughter and son-in-law, Jenna and Brent Young; son and daughter-in-law, Dyson and Amanda Germany; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Linda Germany, and John and Bernadette Germany; three grandchildren, Zachary and Alayna Young and Eiley Germany. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Patty Ferguson Germany. Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Germany, John Germany, Brent Young, Zachary Young, John Guyban, Gary Guyban, Brandon Guyban, and Harry Roark.
He was a graduate of Baker High School and co-captain of the Baker High Golf Team. He was an avid golfer throughout life and loved fishing with his family. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Baker, and after its closing, he joined the Zachary Community Church where he found a loving church family. A man of deep convictions and boundless love, Jimmy left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His life was marked by countless moments of joy, wisdom, and generosity that will forever be cherished. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul be embraced by divine love and grace.
