James ‘Burt’ Lemay

James ‘Burt’ Burton Lemay, a resident of Denham Springs, LA, left this world Sunday, July 11, 2021, at age 53.  Burt was preceded in death by his son, Austin Huber. He was also proceeded in death by his grandparents, Sadie and Bill LeMay and Evelyn and Jack Rogers.  He is survived by; his wife, Carol LeMay; his only daughter, Ashley Huber; sons, Josh (Cheyenne) Arceneaux, James LeMay, Adam (Jessica) Call; his beloved grandchildren, Blakelynn, Presley, Derick, Aaron, Makinzy, Meilani and Greilyn; his mother, C. Diane LeMay; father, Jerry LeMay; brother, Jeff (Gayla) LeMay; and his only niece, Kayleigh LeMay. He was also survived by a plethora of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and “adopted” children who he helped and mentored. Burt loved working with his hands and was a professional skilled glass glazier most of his life and loved showing everyone things he had built throughout his life, all around the United States. 

 Burt was a loved son, a loving father, devoted husband, caring grandfather, and giving friend.  He was so many things to so many different people, but he will be missed by all.  There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 1st United Methodist Church, 319 Mattie Street, Denham Springs, LA, 70726, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17th.  All are welcome to come and celebrate the amazing life of a one-of-a-kind man.
