Jack C. Harrell, Jr.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many, Jack C. Harrell, Jr., a resident of Watson, LA, passed away comfortably on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the age of 76. He was at home, surrounded by his loved ones and prayers after a long journey with pancreatic cancer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Harrell, Sr., and Frances Salario Harrell; grandparents Audrey and Lenora Harrell and Mike and Katie Salario, and his canine companion of 14 years, Dusty Rhoades Harrell.

He is survived by his beautiful bride of 57 years, Janet Forbes Harrell; two daughters Jackie L. Harrell (Eve Allen) and Joanna L. Harrell; granddaughter Peyton “Bunny” Beasley (Corey Beasley); and great-granddaughter Isabella Harrell. Jack is also survived by his four sisters Alice Glass, Betsy Reason, Linda Orefice and Myke Triche, their spouses and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Friday, February 24th at St. Francis Episcopal Church, Denham Springs, with a service to follow. Interment will be private.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Castine and his staff, Dr. Abdul M. Khan, “North Oaks Medical Center” and the wonderful staff of Pinnacle Hospice (Sundi, Krystal, Kate, Barbara, and Ms. Leona) for their compassion, quality clinical care and expertise.

Pallbearers include Harold Glass, Calvin George, Corey Beasley, Buz Blanchard, Travis Holmes, and Bob Schorr.
