Ida Marie Bourgeois

  Ida Marie Bourgeois, a resident of St. Amant, passed away at her home Thursday April 9, 2026, at the age of 61. She was born July 8, 1964, at Lallie Kemp Medical Center in Independence, LA.

   Her life was a testament of love, care, and dedication, to her family and the countless lives she touched. She devoted herself to being a mother, grandmother, housewife, pet owner and caregiver. Her favorite hobbies were tending to her plants and making floral arrangements.

  She is survived by her husband, Navy Veteran Curtis J Bourgeois. Her legacy continues through her daughter Christajaye and husband James Holden, stepdaughters Mitzy and husband Jackie Lott, and Nichole Jacks. Ida was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren, each one a testament to her enduring love and wisdom. Her legacy further extends to her eleven great-grandchildren.

  She is preceded in death by her parents, Diana and Charles Rolls, brother CW Rolls, and sister Angela Ordeneaux. Their memories were her guiding stars, and she often spoke of them with fondness and love.

  While her physical presence will be missed, the love and memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
