Henry Lee Ouzts

Baton Rouge

Henry Lee Ouzts, age 90, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, went to his heavenly home with Jesus on March 1, 2025. He was born in Minden, LA, in 1934. Henry was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Lee Ouzts, wife Jenny Pearce Ouzts, sisters Carolyn Miller and Julia Randall.

Henry is survived by his son Matthew Ouzts and sister Sue Campbell.

Henry graduated from Istrouma High School in 1953. He attended LSU. He married Jenny Pearce Ouzts in 1957 and worked for Exxon for 3 years before being drafted in 1961 during the Berlin Crisis. He continued with Army Flight School and went back to work for Exxon for 10 years. He ended his career at Marion Laboratories after 20 years as a government market consultant. He retired from the Army as a Master Army Aviator. He served 35 years in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Chief Warrant Officer.

A Celebration of Life for Henry will be held at Cornerstone Fellowship Church of God, 1951 Florida Avenue SW, Denham Springs, on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 10AM to 11AM. The funeral service at 11AM with interment to follow at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mt. Pleasant Zachary Rd, Zachary, at 1PM.
