Hazel M. Parr

Hazel M. Parr, born in Acy, LA on March 8, 1939, resident of Dutchtown, LA, passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 84. Hazel enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Hazel is survived by her husband on 65 years, Ronald J. Parr; her children, Yolonda Ulmer (James), Yvette Brignac (Dennis), Lance Parr, Ron Jon Parr (Jan), and Nicole Bergeron (Brad); her grandchildren, Amber Lambert, Katie Karasiuk, Preston Parker, Bronson Brignac, Valerie Waguespack, Marley, Reed, and Maddie Parr, Peyton and Olivia Robb, and Hunter, Brant, and Cole Bergeron; her great-grandchildren, Brayden and Drew Lambert, Cora, Ada, and Lucien Karasiuk, Bella Brignac, and Alex Parker; and siblings, Ray Mayers and Lillie Mae Templet.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Edna Mayers, her siblings, O’Neal Meyer, Harvey Mayers, Douglas Mayers, JB Mayers, Gerald Mayers, Betty Hebert, Rosalie Davis, and Rita Morin.

Visitation will take place at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Highway 73, Prairieville, LA 70769, on Tuesday 21, 2023, from 9:30 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Cornerview Cemetery.
