Guillermo Ernesto Paz McKee

Guillermo Ernesto Paz Mckee, born on July 17, 1950, in Guatemala City, Guatemala, fell asleep in death on March 27, 2026.

Guillermo was the beloved husband of Carmen Elizabeth Hernandez, whom he married on October 26, 1974. He was later widowed by his dear wife, whose memory he cherished deeply, on March 15, 2013, after 38 years of blissful marriage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mario Ernesto Paz Tejada and Catherine McKee Johnston, and by his brothers, Joseph Francisco Paz and Jorge Alexandro Paz. He is survived by his brother, Salvador Martin Paz, and his two sisters, Ana Beatriz Castañeda and Silvia Carolina Loranca, along with their respective spouses, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Guillermo was a devoted father to his four loving children, Mario Guillermo Paz, Alice Elizabeth Cavalier, Manolo Ernesto Paz, and Silvia Catherine Bordelon, along with their respective spouses. He was also a proud grandfather to two beautiful grandchildren, Angelle Elizabeth Lemoine and Nathan Rene Cavalier, and their respective spouses, all of whom brought him great joy.

Guillermo was well known for his warm smile, kind spirit, and deep love for his family and his congregation. He was a devout member of the Prairieville Spanish Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and he had a very deep love for all of his spiritual brothers and sisters. Above all, he was a man of strong faith, with a profound love for his Creator, Jehovah. He found comfort and strength in Jehovah's promises found in the Bible, especially the hope of the resurrection. As expressed at John 5:28, 29, "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." This promise gave him firm confidence in a future where he will be reunited with his loved ones on a peaceful earth.

Guillermo will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his family and friends take great comfort in the assurance found at Revelation 21:4, that soon "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry no pain be anymore."

Guillermo's life was a beautiful example of faith, love and devotion, leaving behind a legacy that will not be forgotten.
