Gladys "Tuttie" Delatte

Mass of Christian Burial for Gladys “Tuttie” Delatte, age 87, will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Chapel, 45049 Lake Martin Road, Prairieville, LA with Fr. Jon Koehler as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 9:00 am until the mass at 11:00am.

Gladys was a lifelong resident of Lake, LA. She passed away on March 16, 2024. She was married to Melvin Delatte for 63 years. She was a member of the St. Amant Knights of Columbus Council 6389 Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Gladys loved playing Bingo and watching sports. 

She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-laws, Marlene and Brian Schexnayder and Darlene and Randall Quick; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Randy and Rachelle Delatte and Joey and Brenda Delatte; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Delatte; her parents, Sidney and Ida Keller; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Hilda Delatte; brothers, George Keller and Noble Keller; and sister, Bessie Singletary. 

Pallbearers will be Peyton Delatte, Christopher Delatte, Lance Schexnayder, Trey Delatte, Cody Blackwell, and Braddy Guidroz. 

Church Funeral Services of St. Amant is in charge of the arrangements.
