Gaylynne Marie Compton

Gaylynne Marie Compton passed away with her big brother by her side at Landmark Nursing Center in Hammond, LA at the age of 57 on May 7, 2025. 

Gaylynne was born on September 28th, 1967, to John M Compton, Sr and Janice Jochum Compton in Hammond, LA.

Gaylynne is survived by her three brothers, John M Compton, Jr (Carla), David M Compton (Sheree), and Kevin Compton. Her three children, Amanda Guidry (Paul), Keith Compton, and Chastity Adams (Austin). She is also survived by Nine grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles.

Gaylynne is proceed in death by her parents John M Compton, Sr and Janice Jochum Compton. Maternal grandparents Albert and Francis Jochum, Paternal grandparents Francis and Bessie Compton.

We would like to thank the staff at Landmark for the wonderful care they gave Gaylynne the last three years of her life. Also, a special Thank You to Mark Drummond, NP for the Great care, going above and beyond in caring for Gaylynne.

Gaylynne will be missed.
