He worked in Pharmaceutical Sales and later owned and operated a heavy equipment rental business with locations in Baton Rouge and Bastrop, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Elaine Darby Williams, son Charles Nolen Williams and wife Dr. Marlow Ball-Williams, and his pride and joy - grandsons Nolen Huxley Williams and Neil Bernard Williams, all of Little Rock. Gary loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and snow skiing were his favorite hobbies. After his first traumatic brain injury in 2001 which occurred while skiing in Colorado, he skied with the Disabled Ski School in Winter Park, Colorado for several years. His second traumatic brain injury and Covid in 2020 took a great toll on his life.

The family is at peace and taking comfort in knowing that he is no longer wheelchair bound and has walked into the Gates of Heaven with a Chocolate Wendy’s Frosty in one hand and a Honey Bun in the other.

The family will have a small private memorial and celebration of life.
