Gary Lynn Middleton

Gary Lynn Middleton, 64, of St. Francisville, Louisiana, joined his wife and sister in heaven on December 24th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Middleton of St. Francisville, LA and Melissa Kirkland and son-in-law Gary, of Sorrento, LA; four grandchildren, Caden Gnad, Wyatt Kirkland, Jaci-Lynn Kirkland and Kaylie Kirkland; two brothers, Donald Middleton and Lewis Britt; two nephews, Ricky Oliveaux and Mark Oliveaux. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Marie Middleton; sister, Carolyn Middleton; father and stepmother, Ray and Jewel Middleton. Gary dedicated 30 years of his life to being a correctional officer before retiring in 2005. He became a carpenter, using his self-taught skills and knowledge to build just about anything. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and football fan, as well as a shade tree mechanic, always working on a project. Wise, smart and hardworking, Gary was the first person his family would go to when they had questions. He was always the first one to help his friends and family, even in inconvenience, but the last to ask for help. He dedicated his life to caring for his family. Gary was a great father, husband, grandfather and friend. His family loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed. Private family services will be held at a later date.
