In Loving Memory of Fred Nunneley
Fred Nunneley, born July 11, 1937, was the kind of man who didn't just live life—he made sure everybody around him enjoyed the ride.
A proud veteran, devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and all-around legend, Fred loved life, people, his church, and making everyone laugh with his wonderfully corny jokes.
Fred was married to his beloved wife, Betty Lou, for 60 years. And while Fred may have been the man of the house, everyone knew the truth: Betty Lou was the boss. Fred was apparently perfectly happy with that arrangement for six decades.
He leaves behind his daughter Kim Paschich, son-in-law Craig grandchildren Sydney and Ty, and his son—and favorite child, Jack Nunneley, along with his awesome granddaughter and best friend, Ainsley.
Fred loved gathering with his best friends for a good game of ROOK or Hand and Foot, where the competition was serious, the rules were questionable, and the laughter was guaranteed.
He had a rare gift: Fred didn't have enemies. He simply had a whole lot of people who loved him.
His family and friends will miss his laugh, his jokes, his stories, and his big personality. But most of all, they'll miss having Fred around to make ordinary days a little more fun.
So, remember Fred with a smile, tell a corny joke, shuffle the cards, and maybe let Betty Lou win one for old times' sake.
Rest easy, Fred. You were truly legendary—and you will be missed by many.
A memorial service to celebrate Fred's life will be held at Broadmore Baptist Church at a future date to be announced.
