Frank Henry Newchurch, Sr.

Frank H. Newchurch, Sr, a native of Paincourtville, LA and resident of Labadieville, LA, died on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the age of 103.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 9:30AM to 11AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11AM at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville with burial following in the Church Mausoleum.

He is survived by his son, Frank H. Newchurch Jr and wife Juanita of Harvey; and daughter, Cindy Newchurch LeBlanc and husband Randy of Port Hudson. His grandchildren, Justin White (Kelly), Jennifer Tassin (Brad), Jordan White, and Jared Newchurch (Jessica), and eight great grandchildren. And a brother Paul Sylvester Newchurch of Belle Rose.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Agnes Gros Newchurch; parents Adam Gilmore and Victoria Passantino Newchurch; two brothers, and two sisters.

He served as a US Army Sargent during World War II. He retired from Texaco, Inc/Chevron after 32 years of service as a compressor mechanic. He was also a Ford certified automobile mechanic in the 1960’s He was an excellent cook, and shared his time and talents with many civic, parish and state organizations. And in his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking.
