Ferne Marie (Mayers) Elisar

Ferne Marie (Mayers) Elisar, age 82, native of St. Amant, LA, and resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on July 16, 2026, peacefully in her sleep at home. She is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Shawn Elisar (Larka); Keith Elisar; and Eric Elisar, two daughters and a son in law, Shannon Bowen (Donald) and Tricia Sears; Two sisters and a brother-in-law; Patricia Mayers; and Sharon Deshautelles (John); Two brothers and a sister-in-law; Perry Mayers; and Beryl Mayers (June), twelve grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Kearney V. Elisar, her parents, Maurice Anthony "Tee" Mayers, Sr. and Etta Rosalie "Toot" Lambert Mayers, her youngest son, Kyle Joseph Elisar and daughter in law, Christina Ramos Elisar; one grandson Devan William Boren, (Tricia). Brothers Manuel Mayers, Sr., Maurice "Mo" Mayers, Jr., Gabriel Mayers, Sisters Barbara "Bobbie" Lambert, Judy Mayers, Kaye Lambert, and Paulette Gautreau. Graveside Services, Monday July 20, 2026 at 10 am. Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum, St. Matthew Patio Corridor. Kearney’s remains will be placed in the vault with Ferne at this time.
