Eugene "Pete" Braud

Eugene “Pete” Braud, born October 22, 1941 in Gonzales, LA, and passed away on May 18, 2024 at the age of 82. He was a retired member of Local 198, 1960 graduate of Gonzales High School, and a US Army Veteran. 

He is survived by his sons, Kyle, Burt (Pamela), Jared, Brian, and Bret Braud; grandchildren, Amanda and Toby Burgett, Kristin, Casey, Alexa, Jasmine, and Conner Braud; and great-grandchildren, Ella, Egan and Emil Burgett; brother, Gerald Braud; sisters, Joyce Braud and Shirley Mansur. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vital and Frances Braud, sisters Evelyn Carlstrum, Gloria Simoneaux; brothers, Eddie and Robert Braud. 

Visitation will be at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 Highway 621, Gonzales, LA, on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 9:00 am until a memorial mass at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales, LA.
