Estelle Irene Guedry

Estelle Irene Guedry, born November 24, 1945, passed away on July 3, 2026. Her presence and influence were felt profoundly by her family, friends, and all who knew her throughout her remarkable life.

Estelle was proud of her long and dedicated career as a hairdresser, serving her community for many years. Through her work, she touched the lives of countless individuals, building relationships that extended far beyond her professional duties. Her commitment to her craft and her clients stood as a testament to her work ethic and deep sense of care for others.

Outside of her professional life, Estelle had a zest for everyday joys. She found delight in exploring garage sales, a hobby that reflected her appreciation for discovering hidden treasures and her warm interactions with those she met along the way. Estelle also deeply loved her dogs, Tex and Sadie, whose companionship brought her great happiness and comfort.

Estelle is survived by her brothers Jimmy Guidry, Joe Claude Guidry (Betty), Earl Guidry (Marilyn), and Russel Guidry (Cheryl); her sister Sylvia Riedlinger and brother-in-law Rick Riedlinger; as well as her cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Leontine Aydell, brother O.J. Guidry, her father Orellion John Guidry, and mother Marie Lucille Frederic. Each family member, both surviving and departed, holds a special place in the story of Estelle’s life.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 15710 LA-16, French Settlement, LA 70733, on July 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Mass to follow. Burial will take immediately after the service, in the church cemetery. 

Estelle Irene Guedry’s legacy endures in the memories shared by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her compassion, warmth, and spirit will be remembered with enduring respect.
