A native of Gonzales, LA , Eric Prettelt was born May 27, 1959, and passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 peacefully at his home. He was a hardworking and loving husband/ father/grandfather, a jack of all trades and a shining example of what every man should strive to be. He will forever be missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 42 years Debbie Jacob Prettelt. His three children: Tessa Renaud (Mike), Wes Diez (Chelsea) and Erika Prettelt. As well as ten grandchildren: Gabe Renaud, Grace Renaud, Faith Renaud, Jacee Diez, Mason Diez, Ava Renaud, Vander Renaud, Keaton Renaud, Aria Diez and Camden Aydell.
He is preceded in death by his parents Tulio and Marjorie "Minnie" Prettelt and his father-in-law Nolan "Bobby" Jacob.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude or Tunnel 2 towers.
