Known to many as “Julio,” Eric was a lifelong resident of Springfield, Louisiana. He found joy in the outdoors, especially fishing, and spent much of his time appreciating life’s quieter moments. He enjoyed music and was most at ease in familiar places with familiar people.
Eric loved his children, his family, and his friends deeply. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, never asking for anything in return. Those who knew him best will remember his kindness, his loyalty, and the way he showed up for others in his own way.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Debora Kay Foster; his father, Eddie Hano; his grandfather, “Paw” Jake Foster; and uncle Michael Foster.
Eric is survived by his children, Ethan James Hano, Ella Jeanette Hano, and Erica RosaLeigh Leja; his grandmother, “Maw” Freda Foster; his sister, Tammy Hano Mathews; his niece, Rayla M Troxler; his nephew, Michael Pierson; his uncle Fred Foster, and several cousins.
Eric will be remembered for the good he carried and the love he gave.
A graveside service will be held at Foster Cemetery on Perrin Ferry Rd in Springfield on Friday, May 8th, at 1:00 PM.
