Emily French Roam, 71, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 15, 2025. A woman of deep faith and profound selflessness, Emily’s greatest joy and ministry was her family—especially her children and grandchildren, whom she lovingly called her “Sweetie Pies.”
Born to Guy and Nell French, Emily was the twin to her “sis and pal” Edie and the cherished younger sister of her beloved big sister, Jean. Emily shared a particularly close relationship with her twin sister, Edie, whose love and companionship were a constant source of strength and joy throughout her life. Growing up in a home rooted in love, Emily lived a full and beautiful life. She raised her two children, Tracy and Patrick, with wisdom and grace. Emily’s love for her grandchildren was unmatched. Each of her grandkids knew they were her “Sweetie Pie.”
She lived her faith quietly but powerfully—through small, consistent acts of kindness, reading the scripture daily, and hands always ready to help. Emily never sought recognition, but she left a legacy of love that will echo through generations.
Emily is survived by her children, Tracy (Brad) Triche and Patrick (Kristen) Stall; her seven adoring grandchildren: Ethan (Cameron) Triche, Lauren Triche, Andrew Triche, Jack Triche, Gracie Stall, Grant England, and Kinsley Stall.
She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Jean Gallo and her twin, Edie Caswell; and by her nieces and nephews: Joseph and Guy Gallo (children of Jean) Micheal Jones and Jeanell Walser (children of Edie) who were deeply touched by her life. She shared a deep and special bond with her niece, Jeanell Walser, who provided loving care and support in her final years.
A mass celebrating Emily’s life will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Prairieville on Friday, May 23 at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Emily lived with gentle strength, quiet joy, and a heart full of Christ’s love. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she now rests in the presence of Jesus, hearing the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
She lived to love—and she loved so well.
