Elton Marcotte

Elton was a long-term resident of Prairieville, LA for 52 years. He grew up in Melville, LA. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 19, 2023. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, riding motorcycles with family & friends, camping, and classic car shows.

Elton is survived by his wife, Peggy Duplichen Marcotte, of 52 years, and 2 sons, Michael & Jason Marcotte. Two grandchildren, Kaleb and Kelsey Marcotte. One brother, Albert Marcotte Jr. and his wife Quida, one sister, Denise Brunner, and her husband Keith, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also, his loving Duplichen family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Rothman, his father, Albert Marcotte Sr., and stepmother, Rose Marcotte.

Memorial services for Elton Marcotte will be held at Household of Faith Church, 10469 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737 on January 6, 2024.

Visitation will open at 9:00am. The memorial service will begin at 11:00am, followed by a burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 17683 Hwy 933, Prairieville, LA 70769.

The Marcottes would like to thank Household of Faith Church whom Elton loved so deeply for accepting him as family. Also, thank you to Hospice for their passionate care.
