Edward L McClure, Jr (Ed) , a resident of St Amant, passed away quietly in the early morning of Thursday, April 2 after a long battle with cirrhosis. Ed was born to Marion Mayfield and Edward McClure, Sr. on July 29, 1955, in Baton Rouge.
Ed had many careers. He served in the Marine Corp. He worked at Exxon in Baton Rouge, both as an operator and a lab tech. He started a business-Crawfish and a Video. He worked in the road construction business for Kirby and Sons. He served as a TSA Supervisor at the Baton Rouge Airport. Lastly, he was a clerk at Triple S.
He had a passion for LSU sports, especially baseball and would even keep stats on the players. He loved animals, especially his chickens and his bees.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, his grandmother (who he loved dearly) and his sister -in-law Jennifer Lynn Buxton.
He is survived by his wife of almost 35 years, Deborah Buxton McClure and daughter, Kaitlin McClure and stepdaughter, Joni Buquoi and grandchildren, Chloe, Kaisyn and Brayden Buquoi.
