Dwight Joseph Babin

Dwight Joseph Babin, born in Gonzales, LA on November 14, 1952, passed away in Baton Rouge, LA on January 24, 2024, at the age of 71.  Dwight enjoyed all things outdoors, especially fishing, spending time and eating with his family and friends.  He worked as a Lab Technician and retired from Syngenta after 29 years of service.   Dwight is survived by his wife, Wanda LeBeau Babin; nieces, Jamie Aguillard (Randy), Stephanie Scarborough, Lisa Scarborough, Melissa "Missy" Bendily (Jerry Don); nephews, Royce Babin (Dewanna) and Douglas Scarborough; as well as his dog, Alise, numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, Winthrop and Bella Parr Babin; sister, Patricia Babin Scarborough (Donald Scarborough); brother, James "Sneaky" Babin; sister, Sharon Babin Acosta Villar; nephews, Dwayne Paul Acosta and Chad Anthony Acosta; as well as beloved dogs, Pee Wee, Zoey, Allie. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, LA with visitation beginning at 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.   Interment will follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery in St. Amant.  Pallbearers will be Royce Babin, Jerry Don Bendily, Douglas Scarborough, Gunner LeBeau, Rhett Breaux and Seth Blank
