Donna Frances Henderson

Donna Frances Henderson ("GG – Groovy Granny"), aged 83, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on April 7, 1943, to Don and Maudie Henderson.

She spent most of her childhood in Ponchatoula and graduated from Ponchatoula High School. A proud cancer survivor, she was known for her quick wit, love of dancing, writing poetry, and enthusiasm for fishing, garage sales, and cruise ship vacations. She also never met a Dr. Pepper or a crossword puzzle she didn’t enjoy.

Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Holly Dee Rivet, and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Rivet-Galiber (Marc) and Deborah Newman, Daryl Henderson (Jodie); her siblings, Dan Henderson and Linda Henderson; and her grandchildren, Dalton, Brandon ("BJ"), Alex, and Chris.
