Donald Ray Dugas

Donald Ray Dugas, 83, departed this me peacefully on December 5, 2022 at The Crossing in Baton Rouge, LA with his daughter, Missy at his side. Don was born March 27, 1939 in Eunice, LA to Henry L Dugas, Sr and Zettie Barbo Dugas. He was a loving father, Pawpaw. brother, friend, and US Navy Veteran. Don was a hard worker and wore many hats over his lifetime… Navy serviceman, boat captain, mechanic, millwright, and operator lo name a few. He is survived by his children: Missy Dugas Jackson (Todd) of Gonzales. LA and David Dugas of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren: Chasity J Faul (Kurt), Gavin Jackson, and Lexi Dugas; great-grandsons: Kyler and Grifen Faul; siblings: Henry (Cynthia) Dugas. Jr and Billie Ruth (Berkman) Aucoin; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Don will be remembered by his love for h’1s family, his ability to fix anything and everything, and his garden and last, but not least his love for Lady, his rescue dog/companion. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 57 years, Shirlene Guidry Dugas; his parents Henry, Sr and Zettie, and his sister, Shirley Ann Dugas Wheeler. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 10:00am until services at 12:00pm. Interment will be ln church mausoleum immediately following the service.
