Donald "Duck" Pierre Landry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the age of 83. A native and resident of Brusly St. Vincent, he was a hardworking man and true jack-of-all-trades. Over the years, he worked as a sugar cane farmer, was known as a skilled handyman, and later retired as the owner and operator of Duck's Donuts. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always ready with a story to share.

He leaves behind his wife of sixty-two years, Betty Theriot Landry; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Darren Cavalier, Yvette and Robert Hebert and Charlet and Coby Brignac; seven grandchildren, Sarah Goss, Bryce Cavalier, Brian and Zachary Hebert, Hanna Cofield, and Maggie and Landon Brignac; five great-grandchildren, Ian and Luke Cavalier, Indy and Layne Hebert and Quinn Cofield; sisters, AnneMae Aucoin and Adrienne Conerly; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his son, Dean Paul Landry; parents, Paul C. and Winnie Charlet Landry; brothers, P.J. and Malcolm Landry; and sister, Yvonne Simoneaux.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Tomi Thomas.
