Dewanda Arlene Dalgo Reid

Dewanda Arlene Dalgo Reid, native of Independence, LA and resident of St. Amant, LA passed away at her home on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the age of 64. Dewanda loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, which were her pride and joy. Dewanda proudly served as a core member in the US Navy. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Reid; children, Sarah Rodriguez (Alejandro), April Roberson (Brian), Christopher (Sandy); grandchildren, Brandon, Seth, Victoria, Jose, Natalia; great grandchildren, Aurora, Azriel, Savannah, Khalessi, Kyzer; brothers, Douglas (Wanda) and Robert Dalgo; sister, Barbara Robins (Ron), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. Dewanda is preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda; parents, Willie Mae and Louis Dalgo; brother Devan Dalgo; niece, Montana Dalgo; nephew, Dylan Dalgo. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Colyell Baptist Church (19524 LA-42, Livingston, LA 70754) from 10:00am until service at 12:00pm. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank all who offered their support by donating towards Dewanda’s services, including Amvets Post 68 and the Amvets Post 68 Women’s Auxiliary.
