Debbie Lobell, 67 of Prairieville, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend was called home June 13th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. It is with great sadness that her family announces her passing after a long battle with cancer.
Born November 1, 1958, in New Orleans, she was the child of Geraldine and Percy Morris and a lifelong resident of Prairieville. Debbie’s greatest passion was caring for her family and being a homemaker. She loved nature, stargazing, caring for her pets and keeping her flower garden blooming. Feeding her family was another passion of hers, as she loved her time cooking in the kitchen and creating new recipes. She especially loved her annual trips to Daytona International Speedway with her husband.
She was known for her determination and outgoing personality, able to have a conversation with anyone she met. Making you smile and laugh was her specialty. She will be remembered for her generous heart, kind spirit, and unwavering strength.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Harry Joseph Lobell Jr. and children Harry Joseph Lobell III (Ashley), Austin James Lobell and Alana Marie Lobell, as well as four grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Melinda Comeaux and Richard “Dickie” Solar, along with numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine “Gerry” Francis English Morris and Percy Sebastian Morris, sisters Linda Totman Patin and Helen Totman Brown and brothers Jimmie Totman, Jackie Totman Sanders and James “Jimmy” Solar.
Services will be held at St. John Catholic Church on June 22, 2026, with visitation beginning at 10:00am, with Mass to follow. A graveside service will take place at Serenity Oaks. The family would like to express a special thank you and heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at Woman’s Hospital, Baton Rouge General and St. Joseph Hospice.
