David Wayne Pevy

David Wayne Pevy, 71, of Minden, LA, passed away in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Christine, his brother Mark, and infant sister Denise Pevy, as well as his niece, Aynsley Nelson.

He is survived by his wife Renee, daughter Denise Poche (Lance), son David Pevy Jr., stepchildren Derek Mason (Amanda) and Devon Mitchell (Jason), and sisters Deborah Sims (Tommy) and Susan Parker (Raymond). He also left behind three grandchildren, Kohl, Kristan, and Kameron Poche, as well as ten step-grandchildren.

David grew up with a love of fast cars and racing. You could easily find him at the dirt track or drag strip most weekends growing up. David also loved animals and had a special place in his heart for his two dogs.

A graveside service for interment will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Gonzales, LA.
