Darren Paul Hebert

Darren, 63, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Saturday June 17, 2023. He was ready to surrender his soul to the Lord; he has been suffering with a cruel disease, ALS. He was a native of and resident of St. Amant, LA. He loved to work on old cars, metal detect, research old coins and a little scuba diving. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was always there for anyone in need in our small “Hebert” compound. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Maureen Zeringue Hebert; daughters, Heather Gill (Steven) and Shelby Wilkinson (Cedric); son, Colby (Courtney); sister, Lynette Starkey (Robert) brothers, Steve (Debra) and Dwayne (Wendy); sisters in law, Brenda Garcia, Barbara Accardo, and Peggy Oubre (Richard); brothers in law: Earl Zeringue {Charlotte) and Keith Zeringue (Minie); grandchildren, Bryson, Mason, Cohen, Codi, Collin, Paxton, and Peyton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Marie; father and mother-in-law, Earl and Josephine Zeringue; and sisters in law, Linda Hebert and Debbie Zeringue. Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Highway 429, St. Amant, from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bryson Gill, Dirk Bercegeay, Dennis Causey, David Starkey, Curt Starkey, and Eric Hebert. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Starkey, Steve Hebert and Dwayne Hebert. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the ALS Association. The family would like to thank Dr. Aguillard for this loving care and support, and also the team of ALS clinic and nurses at Pinnacle Home Health. May he rest in peace.
