Darren Paul Parker, 57, of St. Amant, Louisiana was welcomed into our father’s arms on May 4, 2026.
Born on June 19, 1968, Darren was a kind- hearted, energetic and loving family man who treasured his family, friends and all who were close to him. He found joy in hunting, spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren who were the joy of his life. He was an impeccable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for his family and friends to enjoy both good food and good company. He shared his love of the outdoors with his children and grandchildren teaching them how to fish, hunt and pass a good time. He was a jack of many trades and was able to build or fix almost anything he could get his hands on. He will most be remembered for his quick wit and his generous and loving personality that he shared with everyone he met. He had an innate ability to make others laugh and was a fantastic storyteller who loved to reminisce with his family and friends. He made a lasting impact on all who knew and loved him. He will be profoundly missed, and his memory will be forever cherished.
Darren is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Vicki Ricca Parker, his parents Charles (“Charlie”) and Peggy Parker, his mother-in law Norma Ricca, his sister Dale Parker, his children Michael Richardson Jr. (Jordan), Benjamin Parker (Claire), Matthew Parker (Kirsten Savoy) and Joshua Parker, his grandchildren Rori and Ada Richardson and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Benjamin and Ada Parker, Alton and Vivian Duplessis, his brother Dean Parker, his nephews Dustin Landry and Chant Parker, and his grandson Wade Richardson.
Loved ones are encouraged to honor Darren’s memory in a way that reflects his spirit. His laughter, kindness and fun-loving personality will live in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
