Darrell Penell Lacour

Darrell Penell was born July 23, 1964, in Bastrop, LA. He died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the age of 58 due to severe heath problems. He is survived by his sons, Darrell Penell “P.J” and Joshua Joseph “Josh” LaCour, both of Prairieville, LA; grandson, Chandler Joseph LaCour and granddaughter, Julin Rose LaCour, both of Simmesport, LA, granddaughter, Aubreigh Kay Decoteau of Prairieville, LA; mother, Jenette Guice LaCour of Prairieville, LA; his oldest brother, DeWayne LaCour and wife, Liz LaCour of River Ridge, LA; several nephews, nieces, as well many other extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his dad, Joseph LaCour, Sr.; grandparents, Henry and Katie LaCour and Harry and Willie Mae Guice, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Darrell was a long-time employee at Boone (BSI) Services, Baton Rouge, LA, for several years. He gained the respect and appreciation from his employers, as well as men in his crew. He is missed by his sons, brothers, and especially his mother, whom he was there for day and night. Missing Darrell is an understatement.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at The Grand Venue in St. Amant, LA from 9:30am until service time at 10am conducted by Danny Bowers, one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
