Daniel Joseph Toural, Sr.

Daniel Joseph Toural Sr., 66, passed away on January the 31st in Baton Rouge, LA.

Born on September the 13th, 1959 in New Orleans, Dan grew up in Baton Rouge and attended and graduated from Istrouma Highschool in 1978, he then went on to join the United States Army as soon as he could. He spent 3 years in the Army as a mechanic and tactical communications systems operator, where he acquired his passion for fixing things and radios. He went on to be a professional mechanic in many different industries.

Outside of work, Dan loved CB and HAM Radio, playing guitar, and tinkering. Friends remember him for his jolly demeanor, how hearty and easily he laughed, and how easily and freely he gave love and support.

Dan is survived by His Son, Daniel Toural Jr. (Danny), His Sister, Raegan Schibler, His Brother, LJ Toural III, and His Sister-in-Law Jill Toural. He was preceded in death by His Mother, Mary Altazin, His Stepfather Cyril “Tubby” Altazin, His Father, LJ Toural Jr., His Stepmother, Barbara Toural, and His Sister, Nienah Tullos.

Honoring Dan’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation. A memorial will be held at Louisiana National Cemetery with full Military Honors at 303 W. Mount Pleasant Road Zachary, LA on April 10, 2026, at 1:00PM, where Daniel’s ashes will be interred. All those who wish to remember Daniel are invited to attend the memorial and share fond memories and funny stories.
