Dallas Lloyd Long Jr.

Dallas Lloyd Long, Jr., a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 80. He was born in Atlanta, GA to Dallas Lloyd Sr and Georgia Geraldine Mays Long.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Beth Long, and sisters, Deborah Mullen of Charlotte, NC and Donna Knapp of Snellville, GA.

Dallas served in the US Army for 21 years, including Vietnam. His second career was a DBA in I.T. at the Texas Attorney General. In retirement, he became the best stay at home Dad for multiple furbabies, chauffeured his wife to and from the NOLA airport each weekend for 3.5 years so she could work in Lansing, Michigan. His health deteriorated over the last eight years, but his sharp wit and intelligence was intact until the end. He will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge are preferred.
