Cyrus John Hebert, born on June 21, 1962, in Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away on December 23, 2025, at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A devoted family man and successful entrepreneur, John was the owner of Top Notch Home Improvements and an esteemed member of both the First Pentecostal Church in Denham Springs and Galvez Pentecostal Church.

John was known for his unwavering love for his wife, Diane Hebert, and his sons, Matthew Cyrus Hebert and Jessica, Jeremy David Hebert and Sarah, and H. Joshua Carpenter and Stacy. He cherished his daughter, Heather Lucas, and took immense pride in being a grandfather to Beaux, Kae'Lyn, Hayden, Hope, Autumn, and Madeline, and great grandson Trueth John Lucas. The joy John found in his grandchildren was evident in the heartwarming relationships he built with them. Whenever they needed assistance or comfort, they would simply say, "I will just call Papa," reflecting the deep bond they shared. His relaxing moments were often spent sitting on the porch with his beloved grandkids, fostering memories that will last a lifetime.

John had a passion for working with his hands — whether it was building and remodeling homes or fixing and flipping cars, which included a cherished vehicle he affectionately named "THE Z." His dedication to craftsmanship was matched only by his dedication to family, showcasing his vibrant spirit and hands-on approach to life.

He is survived by his loving canine friend, Whisky River Hebert, who brought joy and companionship to his days. In addition to his immediate family, Cyrus leaves behind a cherished circle of loved ones, including his siblings Judy Rister-Portier and Robert, along with his in-laws Hubert and Mary Huckabaa, Eugene Coburn, Tom and Sharon Dinkins, Dwayne and Carol Mathews, and a host of nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his father, Cyrus Joseph Hebert; mother, Naomi Myers Hewitt; sister, Brenda Faye Rister; and brother, Charles David Richards.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Matthew Hebert, Jeremy Hebert, Joshua Carpenter, Robert Portier, Shane Portier, and Clay Portier. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hayden Hebert and Trueth Lucas.

A ceremony celebrating the life of John will be held on Tuesday December 30. 2025, at Galvez Pentecostal Church, visitation will begin at 10:00 am until time of the service at 12 noon. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
