Craig William Wisner was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 31, 2026, at the age of 76.
He married the love of his life and soulmate, Denise Distefano Wisner, in May of 1974, and for more than 50 years they were inseparable, building a life rooted in love, loyalty, and companionship.
He was a devoted father and a proud, beloved grandfather, always ready with a warm hug and a solid dad joke. He enjoyed crosswords, reading the news, science fiction, music, swimming, and good food. He lived a life that was steady, simple, and full of love for those closest to him. Some of his happiest moments were spent laughing and enjoying time together with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Judson Wisner Jr and Irene Freeman Wisner.
He is survived by his loving wife, Denise Distefano Wisner; his daughters, Bree Wisner Luke (Dale) and Keely Wisner Puma (Guy); his grandsons, Aiden Luke, Connor Luke, and Ethan Luke; his step-grandson, Guy Puma V; his brothers, Bruce Wisner (Kathy) and Terry Wisner (Margaret); as well as many nieces and nephews,
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated, and a small celebration of life will be held for immediate family members at a later date.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family.
