Corita "Mae" Savoy Thibodeaux

Corita Mae Thibodeaux, born in Lafayette on December 29th, 1946, passed away at her home in Denham Springs on August 15th, 2026 at the age of 79. Corita fought a fierce battle against cancer, and was able to be with her loved ones at the time of passing. She retired from being a co-owner and operator of Thib's Backhoe Service.

She is survived by daughters Rachel Thibodeaux Blocker (William Blocker) and Roberta Thibodeaux Doerr (Jack Doerr), grandsons Billy 'BJ' Blocker, Jacob Blocker(Ciara Blocker), Samuel Blocker (Krysta Blocker), Luke Blocker (Madeline Blocker), and Kyle Thibodeaux (Tori Thibodeaux), as well as five great grandsons and one great granddaughter

Corita is preceded in death by parents Fred and Elizabeth Savoy, four sisters, and husband Ray Thibodeaux.

A private service will be held for Corita Thibodeaux at a later date.
