Christopher Shan McLemore, born on April 18, 1977, in Shreveport, LA, United States, left this world far too soon on June 27, 2023, but not without a fight. Visitation will be held at The Church International, 13423 Highway 431, St. Amant, LA 70774 beginning at 9:00am with Memorial Service at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.. A graveside service will follow at 1:30pm at St. Martin Chapel Cemetery, 6821 Highway 996, Belle Rose, LA 70341. Known for his contagious laughter and love of fishing adventures, Chris could always be found brightening the room with his witty remarks and infectious smile. From an early age, Chris exuded an undeniable charm that effortlessly drew people towards him. Friends described him as the life of the party, always ready with a hilarious joke or impromptu dance moves that would have everyone joining him. One of Chris’s greatest passions was exploring the great waters of Mississippi and Louisiana. Fishing was his undeniable passion and he found solace in the beauty of nature. He loved hanging out with friends and family. Survived by his mother and stepfather Lori and Joe Phelps, a son Sage McLemore, maternal grandparents Billy and Claire Barrient, two sisters Honesty Howard (Rodriquez), Stephanie Borne (Dustin), and one brother Dewayne Chenevert (Allie). He also leaves behind his longtime girlfriend Ashley Graham, several uncles, aunts, neices, nephews, cousins, other close family members and friends. He is preceeded in death by an uncle Christopher Dewayne McLemore, aunt Misty Barrient, grandparents Wiley and Hattie McLemore and great grandparents Roy and Angie Lewis. As we say our tearful goodbyes, let’s remember Chris for the incredible joy he brought into our lives. May his light-hearted spirit continue to guide us and remind us to always find laughter, even in the darkest of times.
