Cheryl Ann Melton

Cheryl Ann Melton passed away on May 16, 2026 at the age of 68 due to Stage 4 cancer. Cheryl was born on May 9, 1958 to William and Vera Melton in Milwaukee, WI.

She is survived by her three daughters, Melanie Ferguson and spouse Tyler, Talene Kaltakjian and Angelle Kaltakjian. She is survived by her grandchildren, Aulden, Amelia and Luca, and her brother William J. Melton, Jr and spouse Toni.

Cheryl loved her children and grandchildren more than anything else. She was “Mimi” to her grands and she supported all their activities. Cheryl enjoyed music and writing but traveling was her passion. She lived a full life. Cheryl will be missed by her many friends and family who remember her wit and sense of humor. She is no doubt still smiling.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her son, John H. Kaltakjian and her parents William and Vera Melton, grandparents, John and Helen Banerian, and O.W. and Helen Melton, and numerous relatives.

The family would like to thank her team of doctors and support staff at Woman’s Hospital.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 22 from 9:30–10:30 AM at Healing Place Church Ascension Campus followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM.
